Expert Sewer Line Cleaning in Alexandria, VA

Sewer line cleaning is a practical maintenance service that keeps wastewater moving freely from your home to the city main. In Alexandria, many properties sit on clay-heavy soils that shift with seasonal rainfall, putting consistent pressure on buried pipes. Older homes, particularly those built before the 1980s, often have clay or cast iron laterals that collect grease, debris, and tree root intrusion over time. Alexandria's mature tree canopy adds to the problem, as roots seek moisture through small cracks in aging pipe joints. Left unaddressed, partial blockages grow into full backups that can push wastewater into basements and floor drains. AllGreen Solutions clears the full length of the sewer line, not just the visible clog. We use mechanical augering and hydro jetting to remove buildup from pipe walls, then confirm results with a camera inspection. If you notice slow drains across multiple fixtures, gurgling toilets, or sewage odors near your foundation, those are signs your sewer line needs attention. Call AllGreen Solutions to schedule sewer line cleaning in Alexandria.

Sewer Line Cleaning FAQ

Common questions about sewer line cleaning in Alexandria, VA.

Sewer line cleaning is the right call when multiple fixtures drain slowly at the same time. A single slow sink is usually a branch-line clog, but gurgling toilets and slow drains throughout your Alexandria home point to the main sewer lateral.

Yes, tree root intrusion is one of the most common sewer line problems in Alexandria. Mature trees along residential streets send roots into small cracks in older clay pipe joints, and those roots grow into blockages that standard snaking alone cannot fully clear.

Yes, we clean sewer lines in Alexandria homes with clay, cast iron, and other older pipe materials. We adjust equipment and water pressure based on pipe condition to clear the line without causing additional damage.

We access the line through a cleanout, clear blockages using mechanical augering or hydro jetting, and then run a camera through the pipe to confirm the line is fully open. You see the results before we leave your Alexandria property.

Regular cleaning is a practical step for Alexandria homeowners, especially those with mature trees near the sewer path or homes built before 1980. Routine cleaning removes buildup before it restricts flow and helps catch developing pipe issues early.

Heavy spring and fall rains can strain a partially blocked lateral and increase the chance of a backup. Keeping your Alexandria sewer line clear before wet seasons reduces the risk of wastewater pushing back into your home.

In Sep 2019 AllGreen removed the old timber stair/walkway in my back yard and rebuilt it with a lovely stone structure. The workmanship was outstanding -- from the careful excavation to the reinforced concrete foundation to the carefully finished stone work. Every aspect of the project was handled well -- timely scheduling, thorough cleanup each day, prompt removal of all debris, to careful raking, grading, and seeding at the end. Project Manager Kyle Jansen and foreman Carlos could not have been better to work with or more willing to be helpful. I am extremely pleased!

John Waldron came out to look at our walkway and tree. It turns out the walkway was worse off than we thought. John very carefully explained the problems and possible solutions, providing us with several options. I enjoyed working with him very much. The quote was reasonable, but higher than we planned for the extra things we wanted done. We plan to have the work
